247Sports: With the conference not playing any live sporting events until 2021, the Pac-12 has been forced to reduce the number of employees on its staff. According to a report from The Mercury News, the Pac-12 has laid off or furloughed nearly half its staff.
Earlier this month, the Pac-12 announced that it was postponing its fall seasons until the spring of 2021. Additionally, the conference won’t begin competition for its winter sports until January. As a result, the conference and its network are bracing for large financial losses.
