By Boise State Athletics: Boise State linebacker Marco Notarainni has been recognized as a nominee for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, the organization announced. The Good Works Team will include 22 student-athletes and one head coach who make outstanding contributions to their communities.
One student-athlete from the team will be the recipient of the Wuerffel Trophy, college football’s premier award for community service.
Last season, Notarainni posted 60 total tackles, including 7.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks. He also recovered two fumbles and broke up three passes. He was named Second Team Academic All-America by College Sports Communicators and secured All-Mountain West First Team honors.
