By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: The old expression may hold true: If you can’t beat ’em, hire ’em. Well, that’s not the phrase exactly but Utah State’s remarkable renaissance this past season — which began with an upset of Washington State — drew wide attention.
And it would appear Cougar head coach Jake Dickert and his new defensive coordinator, Brian Ward, were among the admirers because they’ve reportedly just hired Utah State cornerbacks coach Ray Brown to shepherd corners in Cougarville.
