CBS Sports: No one is feeling sympathy for the riches and swag-copters Kirby Smart can layer on in the recruiting process. His Georgia program spent $3.7 million on recruiting last fiscal year.
That was a quarter of a million dollars ahead of Alabama. That’s five times what Georgia was spending five years ago. That’s more than all but 35 FBS coaches make as an annual salary.
