By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: John Mateer has started exactly two games for Washington State. And all he has done in those two games is throw for over 350 in one, and rush for nearly 200 in the other. The Cougars have a long history of marvelous quarterback play, but the 6-foot-1, 217-pound third-year from Little Elm, Texas, is different.
All of those great Cougar quarterbacks were pocket passers who could use their legs if necessary.
