This is the first in my series of interviews with 2023 SuperWest nonconference football opponents.
I begin the episode by talking with Swamp247 writer Graham Hall about the state of the Florida Football program.
Topics include the current confusion at quarterback, the youth of UF’s new offensive coordinator, and a breakdown of some pivotal defensive players.
Hall gives us his sense of the season-opening Thursday game between the Utes and the Gators on August 31st, which figures to shape the 2023 campaign for both teams.
Florida leads the all-time series 2-0, with its most recent victory coming last season in a close 29-26 contest in Gainesville. The other win, a 38-29 tilt in 1977, was also played in the Swamp.
(You can read my preseason interview with Graham about the 2022 game here.)
We also make tentative predictions, given injuries and other roster uncertainties.
The interview culminates with a lighthearted conversation contrasting college football to WWE wrestling and an offbeat reference to Stone Cold Steve Austin.
You can reach Hall on Twitter at @GrahamHall_and I’m always open to your comments at @WordsByBartlett.
[Note: Graham’s audio starts off a bit out of sync with the video, but the issue shortly resolves itself.]
