Dawgman/247Sports: After years of calling for the SEC to play more conference games, college football fans will get their wish. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey believes the league’s programs will be up for the task of an all-conference schedule as they compete for playoff berths.
Last week, the College Football Playoff released dates for its 2020 rankings reveals. That means it’s planning to proceed as normal, and with only three Power Five conferences in action, the SEC could once again get multiple teams in the mix. Although playing two extra conference games will make the path to the playoff tougher for most SEC teams, Sankey thinks it’s an obstacle that can be overcome.
