247Sports: Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields appeared Monday on ESPN radio and detailed his surging We Want to Play petition to the Big Ten Conference in an effort to save the 2020 season. Fields directed his first answer to Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren and university presidents who voted on shutting down the season earlier this month.
“My biggest message to them is really just get them to realize how bad our players want to play and the guys who have come back from their fifth year or injury,” Fields said. “We owe it to those guys the most. I’ve seen the work they put in and how much they care about.”
