247Sports: The NCAA finally issued a response to the Big Ten and Pac-12 canceling their fall seasons for football and other sports. While the SEC, Big 12 and ACC are planning to press forward, the NCAA officially canceled all fall championships in 2020, with the exception of FBS Division I football.
While the NCAA works to figure out a plan with conferences across all three divisions to ensure fall sports play at some point during the academic year, NCAA President Mark Emmert is focusing on winter and spring first as its priority. The NCAA canceled all winter and spring championships earlier in 2020 during the initial outbreak of COVID-19.
