NCAA football rules changes add up to fewer snaps, faster games

By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Barring a dramatic (and unexpected) tempo escalation, look for the Washington State offense — and every other offense across the land — to take fewer snaps in 2023 than they did in 2022. 

Among new rules the NCAA adopted for the upcoming FBS and FCS football seasons is no clock stoppage after every first down “except with less than two minutes remaining in the second and fourth quarters.”
