By Jody Demling, 247Sports: Could the Pitino family — at least a part of it — be returning to Louisville? Cardinal Authority has confirmed through multiple sources that Richard Pitino has emerged as a top candidate to become the head coach at the University of Louisville.

U of L athletic director Josh Heird has been in contact with Pitino several times over the past few days.
