By Dan Raley, Inside The Huskies: In the middle of the pandemic, it became sport for bored, housebound people to create bogus Twitter accounts and post fictitious college football recruiting announcements, and the University of Washington was among those targeted.
Remember the 5-star quarterback from Kansas City or someplace close to that who supposedly committed to the Huskies or received an offer, as did the can’t-miss Florida cornerback, and there were others.
