247Sports: Tennessee fired head football coach Jeremy Pruitt and a number of staffers inside the football program for cause yesterday. The school’s brass, during a press conference Monday afternoon, indicated that an internal investigation into possible NCAA violations led to Pruitt’s termination. Kevin Steele will serve as the program’s acting head coach while the university searches for its fifth full-time one in 12 years.
