By Chris Karpman, Sun Devil Source: A player with no nameplate on the back of his jersey emerged from the Tillman Tunnel late in the third quarter of Arizona State’s 29-0 loss to Fresno State, promptly throwing a football behind the team’s bench in an effort to get his arm loose.
It wasn’t Jeff Van Raaphorst, Jake Plummer, Andrew Walter or any other ringer who could have helped the Sun Devils recover from what ultimately became their first scoreless home loss since 1988.
