POSITION: Running Back
HEIGHT: 5-10
WEIGHT: 200
CLASS: Junior
HOME TOWN: Norco, Calif.
HIGH SCHOOL: Norco H.S.

Travis Dye is one of the most versatile and explosive players in the Pac-12.

The junior from Norco, Calif., rushed for a team-leading 443 yards and a score in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, while also pulling in nine catches for 239 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver.

His performance over seven games last season earned him All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors, but also earned him a reputation as a scatback likely to give opposing defensive coordinators nightmares in 2021.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pound all-purpose player may be diminutive, but he’s as slippery as the come, twisting and turning through small openings before breaking loose for extra yards.

He’s proven surprisingly tough at times in short yardage situations as well, with the ability to keep his legs moving while dragging would-be tacklers in tow.

That combination of speed, strength, and shiftiness keeps defenders guessing and vulnerable. If they focus too much on other elements of OC Joe Moorhead’s dynamic offense, Dye will find himself in a position to make big plays.

After gaining a combined 682 yards rushing and receiving in 2020, Dye appears poised to become an even bigger difference-maker this fall.
