High hopes for New Mexico football as season ticket sales soar

By Nicole Sanders, KRQE Albuquerque via Yahoo Sports: Expectations are high for the upcoming New Mexico Lobo football season, and fans could be showing up in record numbers to see it. There is a month and a half until the first home game of the 2026 season, and Lobo athletic officials say the number of season tickets sold this season will be the most in two decades.

The New Mexico Lobos set their all-time record for football season ticket sales back in 2004. The university officially sold just under 15,000 season tickets. And success in football helps all other the other UNM sports programs.
