It was another good week for several former SuperWest players.
Each week I highlight the Top 10 performances of alums from schools in the West.
Here are my choices for the Divisional Round Playoff games.
Top 10 NFL Divisional Round Playoff Performers from West
1. Taylor Rapp, S, Bills/Washington
Rapp had a big momentum-changing interception and a couple of tackles in the Bills win over
The former Husky left early with an injury and his status for the AFC Championship game is in doubt, but he was very productive before exiting on Sunday.
2. Khalil Shakir, WR, Bills/Boise State
Shakir was the leading receiver for the Bills in their Divisional round win over the Ravens.
The former Boise State star caught six passes for 61 yards in the win.
3. Frankie Luvu, LB, Commanders/Washington State
The former Cougar was once again the pulse of the Commanders’ defense, finishing the day with nine tackles in the win over Detroit.
He added a pair of QB pressures as he disrupted Jared Goff in the upset.
4. Bobby Wagner, LB, Commanders/Utah State
The former Aggie is enjoying his ninth playoff run and is a win away from his third trip to the Super Bowl.
He ended the divisional round with eight tackles in the upset of the Lions.
5. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions/USC
The former USC star receiver capped a fantastic season with an eight-catch, 137-yard performance in the loss to Washington.
He finishes the year with 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns.
6. Justin Reid, S, Chiefs/Stanford
The former Cardinal led Kansas City with seven tackles in the win over Houston.
In helping the top seed advance to the AFC Championship game, Reid added a QB pressure and a pass defended.
7. Puka Nacua, WR, Rams/BYU
Nacua led the Rams with six receptions in their loss in Philadelphia.
The former Cougar gained 97 yards on his catches as the Rams season ends.
8. Patrick Mekari, G, Ravens/California
On a cold and snowy night in Buffalo, the Ravens racked up 176 yards on the ground.
Lamar Jackson had a mostly clean pocket and former Golden Bear Patrick Mekari was the second-highest-graded lineman in the run game for Baltimore, allowing just two pressures on 31 pass-blocking plays.
9. Josh Allen, QB, Bills/Wyoming
The Bills QB found the end zone twice on the ground in the win over Baltimore.
Given the weather conditions, the former Cowboy was not asked to throw much but was effective when he did, completing 16 of 22 passes for 127 yards.
10. Jared Goff, QB, Lions/California
Goff threw for a bunch of yards against Washington in the loss with 313 yards through the air and a TD.
He also threw three interceptions as the Lions season ended early.
