Stephen Vilardo’s Week 10 Matchups by the Numbers

This week in the Pac-12 opens with Utah traveling to Stanford to renew a series that has seen the road team enjoy massive success.

Arizona will try to break their losing streak against a Cal team that they have not lost to in their last five matchups. Chase Garbers also has a streak going himself with 120 straight pass attempts without an interception.

Oregon State attempts to get back on track against a Colorado squad that has had a tough time moving the ball.

The Ducks heads to Seattle to renew their rivalry with a Washington team they are 14-2 against in the last 16 meetings.

The Pac-12 weekend concludes with USC heading to ASU looking for their ninth-straight conference road win, and Arizona State is looking to stay efficient.

• Four of Stanford’s last five conference games have been decided by seven points or less.

• Utah has averaged 466.3 yards of total offense in the last four games compared to 366.8 in the first four.

• Austin Jones averages 3.6 receptions per game, the eighth most of any RB in the nation.

• Utah is being penalized just 4.4 times per game, tied for 10th-fewest in the nation.

• Utah is 4-1 with Cameron Rising as the starting QB.

• Benjamin Yurosek has three-straight games with 90+ receiving yards, the first Stanford tight end in at least the last 25 years to accomplish that feat.

• Cal has not beaten Arizona since 2009, and has not left Tucson with a win since 2004

• Arizona has lost 20-straight games, the longest active streak in the nation.

• The Wildcats have lost 17-straight Pac-12 games and 10 straight home games

• Cal has not committed a turnover in its last two games.

• With only one lost fumble, Cal ranks first in the Pac-12 and is tied second nationally for fewest lost.

• Jalen John and Stevie Rocker Jr. combine to average 5.4 yards per carry.

• Kyle Ostendorp ranks second in the Pac-12 and sixth in the nation, averaging 47.9 yards per punt.

• Arizona is allowing just 193.5 passing yards per game, second in the Pac-12 and 24th in the nation.

• Avery Roberts averages 11.2 tackles per game for Oregon State, the third highest total in the country.

• Washington has come away with points on every trip to the Red Zone this season; they’re the only team still perfect in the Red Zone. 

• Washington has a TD rate in the Red Zone of just 62.5 percent, 64th nationally. Oregon ranks second in the nation in TD rate at 77.78 percent in the Red Zone.

• Washington is being penalized just 4.4 times per game, tied for 10th-fewest in the nation.

• Washington has only allowed two plays of 40+ yards this season, the second-fewest in the nation. Oregon has allowed three such plays, seventh-fewest in the country.
