We’re handling our CFB Player of the Week selections a little differently this year with the responsibility for making the selections falling squarely on my shoulders.
I do my best to be objective each week, basing my picks on comparative performances and stats, but if you think I’m missing something, or maybe some bias has slipped in, feel free to let me know on Twitter.
This week’s player picks were clear standouts at their positions.
So without further ado, here are my Week 10 picks for SuperWest Players of the Week for Offense, Defense, and Special Teams as well as Offensive and Defensive Freshmen.
Offensive Player of the Week: DTR, QB , UCLA

DTR threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns and added 120 yards and two more scores on the ground in UCLA’s win over Arizona State.
Defensive Player of the Week: Dallas Branch, CB, San Diego State

Get ready for it…
Branch finished with four tackles, two for a loss, one sack, one interception, and one fumble recovery in San Diego State’s win over UNLV.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Peyton Henry, PK, Washington

Offensive Freshman of the Week: Damien Martinez, RB, OSU

Martinez finished with 107 yards on the ground while gaining another 40 yards as a receiver.
Defensive Freshman of the Week: Jaylin Davies, DB, UCLA

Honorable Mention
Offensive: Jaren Hall QB, BYU
Defensive: Cam Bright, LB, Washington
Special Teams: Carter Brown, K, ASU
Freshman Offensive: Ja’Quinden Jackson, RB, Utah
