This is the eighth in my series of interviews with 2023 SuperWest nonconference football opponents.
In this episode, I talk with Jordan Kaye, Boise State football beat writer for Bronco Nation News, about Washington’s Week one tilt against BSU of the Mountain West.
We discuss Boise State’s roster and how it matches up with a talented and confident Washington team and preview the September 9th contest, giving our early game predictions
Both teams are coming off successful 2022 seasons, in which they rebounded from disappointing campaigns the year before.
We talk about BSU’s history of knocking off Power 5 teams in season openers, and what it would take for the Broncos to walk away from a victory on Saturday.
Washington leads the all-time series between the teams 3-2, with the last win coming in the Las Vegas Bowl in 2019. Boise State won their previous meeting in that bowl in 2012.
