Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Utah all look solid once again, and we won’t see any of them play each other for another two weeks.
November projections are much more solid than those in September and October, but there’s still a good chance that what we think will happen now won’t align with the actual bowl matchups come December.
Here are my latest predictions on where Conference teams will land in the postseason.
Rose Bowl – Oregon vs. Michigan
2:00 p.m., PT, ESPN, Jan. 2, 2023, Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA
The momentum is pushing Oregon to the CFP right now.
I don’t see them getting through the next four games without losing, though, and just winning the Conference and getting to Pasadena should be fine.
Cotton Bowl – UCLA vs. Cincinnati
10:00 a.m., PT, ESPN, January 2, 2023, AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
I’m giving UCLA the edge over USC for their defense right now.
I don’t think they can win a rematch with Oregon right now, though.
Alamo Bowl – USC vs. Oklahoma State
6:00 p.m., PT, ESPN, December 29, 2022, Alamodome, San Antonio, TX
The Trojans close the season with 10 wins and are an incredible bowl draw just below the NY6 level.
Holiday Bowl – Utah vs. Florida State
5:00 p.m., PT, FOX, December 28, 2022, Petco Park, San Diego, CA
I’m conservatively putting Utah here, but watch out for the Utes.
They can put the rest of the regular season right now on winning at Oregon, and they have the horses to do it.
Las Vegas Bowl – Washington vs. South Carolina
4:30 p.m., PT, ABC, December 17, 2022, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV
A great landing place for the Huskies and their high-flying offense.
They might need to win at Oregon or Washington State to get here, though.
Sun Bowl – Oregon State vs. Louisville
11:00 a.m., PT, CBS, December 30, 2022, Sun Bowl, El Paso, TX
The Beavers were hurt by not being able to pull out a big win at Washington.
This might be their ceiling now.
Los Angeles Bowl – Washington State vs. Boise State
12:30 p.m., PT, ABC, December 17, 2022, SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA
The Cougars are going to a bowl.
Now it’s just about trying to keep stacking wins to get out of the bottom slot for the Conference.
