Another week, another step closer to figuring out the Pac-12 bowl landscape.

Pac-12There was no major shuffling after the Halloween weekend games, but some minor shifting and some teams seeming like they might make a bowl that seemed out of it not long ago.

Let’s take a look at our updated Pac-12 bowl projections for this week!

Rose Bowl — Oregon vs. Michigan State

2:00 p.m. PT, ESPN, January 1, 2022, Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA

The CFP is still in play for the Ducks if they can win out from here.

That’s a tall task, though, as they close with three of the toughest teams in the North (Oregon State and the Washington schools) and will likely be playing red hot Utah twice, if the Ducks win the North.

Getting to Pasadena with two loses will be just fine for Oregon this year.

Alamo Bowl — Utah vs. Iowa State

6:15 p.m., PT, ESPN, December 29, 2021, Alamodome, San Antonio, TX

The Utes are surging with Cameron Rising at quarterback and now seem like a lock to win the South at a minimum.

Whether or not they can beat Oregon in Salt Lake City, or potentially in a Pac-12 Championship Game, will really determine their bowl stock come December.

Las Vegas Bowl — Oregon State vs. Penn State

7:30 p.m. PT, ESPN, December 30, 2021, Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV

The Beavers still have a great shot to win the conference and it could come down to whether or not they can beat the Ducks in Eugene.

I don’t think they can, but landing here is just fine for Jonathan Smith and company.

Holiday Bowl — Arizona State vs. North Carolina State

5:00 p.m. PT, FOX, December 28, 2021, Petco Park, San Diego, CA

We’ve all sold our Sun Devil stock the past couple of weeks.

This honestly would be a good landing spot for them now, given how much they’ve fallen recently.

Sun Bowl — Washington State vs. Clemson

9:30 a.m. PT, CBS, December 31, 2021, Sun Bowl, El Paso, TX

The hottest team in the Pac-12 not named Utah is still right in the thick of the conference championship race yet again.

Just getting to any bowl is a huge accomplishment for the Cougars, given the controversy of the season.

Los Angeles Bowl — UCLA vs. San Diego State

4:30 p.m. PT, ABC, December 18th, 2021, SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA

Like ASU, the Bruins have fallen on hard times and down the Pac-12 bowl hierarchy.

First Responder Bowl — Washington vs. BYU

10:15 p.m., December 28, 2021, Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas, TX

I think the Huskies stole bowl eligibility from the Cardinal by winning at Stanford on Saturday.

They can be the next Pac-12 team to get beaten by BYU this year.
