Each week I give you my college football Top 25, with commentary on the Pac-12 teams I rank. Disagree? Let me know on Twitter @jackfollman.

1. Alabama (8-0)

2. Notre Dame (10-0)

3. Ohio State (5-0)

4. Clemson (9-1)

5. Texas A&M (7-1)

6. Florida (8-1)

7. Cincinnati (8-0)

8. Indiana (6-1)

9. USC (4-0)

usc logoThe Trojans seem to have turned a corner in their past two games with convincing wins at Utah and against Washington State. That’s not like beating Florida and Georgia or anything close, but it’s big in a year when every win in the Pac-12 is like gold. The Trojans won’t be a serious CFP contender, especially with North leaders Oregon and Washington stumbling down the stretch. Yet, they can still achieve a major bowl game and a Pac-12 championship, and they have set themselves up as the firm favorite to do just that.

10. Miami (8-1)

11. Georgia (6-2)

12. Iowa State (8-2)

13. Oklahoma (7-2)

14. Northwestern (5-1)

15. Iowa (5-2)

16. Colorado (4-0)

The Buffs just keep winning the games in front of them and hanging around. Their wins over Stanford and UCLA continue to look better each week, and I have no clue what the Conference does if the Buffs and USC either both win or lose next week. Still being in the Pac-12 title chase this late in the season is a huge victory for Karl Dorrell in year one.

17. Coastal Carolina (10-0)

18. Texas (6-3)

19. Wisconsin (2-2)

20. North Carolina (7-3)

21. NC State (8-3)

22. Oklahoma St (6-3)

23. Washington (3-1)

Washington couldn’t quite pull off their second-straight miraculous second-half comeback, getting upset by Stanford, and leaving USC as the clear top team in the Pac-12 right now. A loss in Jimmy Lake’s first season seemed likely for the Huskies at some point; it’s just the way both of their fronts were manhandled for the second year in-a-row by Stanford units that came in really struggling. The Pac-12 North title is still within reach, but now they will have to win at Oregon to get it.

24. BYU  (9-1)

25. Marshall (7-1)

On The Edge: Tulsa, UCLA, Stanford, Utah, Missouri
