By Roman Tomashoff, Huskies Wire: Less than a week after the Los Angeles Rams traded a significant haul of draft capital to get former Washington Huskies star cornerback Trent McDuffie from the Kansas City Chiefs, they made him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history.
On Sunday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that McDuffie and the Rams agreed to a four-year, $124 million extension with $100 million guaranteed to avoid free agency, surpassing Derek Stingley Jr. of the Houston Texans and Sauce Gardner of the Indianapolis Colts, both of whom were selected ahead of him in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.
