Week Three in the NFL is when we start to see who is really who around the league, both teams and individuals.

It is also oftentimes when some of the rookies start to come into their own and we certainly saw that in the form of some players who were playing at SuperWest colleges a year ago.

Each week I highlight the Top 10 performances of West Coast school alums in our coverage footprint.

Here are my choices for this week.

Top 10 NFL Performers

1. Josh Allen, QB, Bills/Wyoming

Josh Allen was just about flawless in the Monday night thrashing of Jacksonville.

He finished with 263 yards and four TDs while completing 76.7% of his passes.

Allen also averaged 7.3 yards per tote on the ground.

2. Sam Darnold, QB, Vikings/USC

Darnold just keeps coming up big for the 3-0 Vikings.

In their 34-7 win over Houston, the former USC standout threw for four TDs on 17 of 28 pass attempts.

He tweaked his knee a bit, however, and his status for this Sunday is questionable.

3. Rome Odunze, WR, Bears/Washington

The Bears offense had their best outing and so did Odunze.

In a losing effort in Indianapolis the former Husky caught six passes for 112 yards and his first NFL career touchdown.

4. Bo Nix, QB, Broncos/Oregon

Denver got a big win over Tampa Bay and Bo Nix made plays.

The former Duck threw for 216 yards and ran for an additional 47 and a TD.

5. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Jets/Cal

The reports of the demise of Aaron Rodgers have proven to be premature.

The former Cal Bear came up big for New York in their Thursday Night win over New England, throwing for 281 and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes.

6. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seahawks/UCLA

Charbonnet was an all-around factor as Seattle trounced Miami to improve to 3-0 on the season.

The former Bruin ran for 91 yards on 18 carries finding the endzone on two of them.

He added another 16 yards receiving to finish the day with 100+ scrimmage yards.

7. Carl Granderson, DL, Saints/Wyoming

Granderson continued his early season success with a big game for New Orleans against the Eagles.

He ended the day with five tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.

8. Daiyan Henley, LB, Chargers/Washington State

It was not a great trip to Pittsburgh for the Chargers, but the former Cougar was a bright spot on defense.

He led the team with 12 stops in the 10-point loss.

9. Caleb Williams, QB, Bears/USC

The former Heisman winner had his best game as a pro.

The Bears came up short once again, but Williams threw for 363 and a couple of TDs on 63.5% passing.

Plenty of room for improvement still, like the two interceptions, but a positive step.

10. Khalil Shakir, WR, Bills/Boise State

The Bills’ offense was humming on Monday and Shakir was the top target of Josh Allen.

The former Broncos receiver finished with 72 yards and a TD on the night.

Other Notable Performances

Bucky Irving, RB, Buccaneers/Oregon — 70 yards on just nine carries with another 14 yards receiving.

Dalton Kincaid, TE, Bills/Utah — 41 yards and a TD

Carson Steele, RB, Chiefs/UCLA — 72 yards on 17 carries.

Cade Otton, TE, Buccaneers/Washington — 7 receptions 47 yards
