It was another good week for several former SuperWest players.
Each week I highlight the Top 10 performances of West Coast school alums in our coverage footprint.
Here are my choices for Week 13.
Top 10 NFL Performers
1. Josh Allen, QB, Bills/Wyoming
In snowy conditions on Sunday night Josh Allen put up a number.
He threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 13 of 17 passing while adding a TD on the ground and receiving a TD—from himself.
In doing so, he became the first quarterback in NFL history to pass, rush, and receive a touchdown in the same game.
2. Bucky Irving, RB, Buccaneers/Oregon
The former Duck posted a career-high 152 rushing yards on 25 carries, finding the endzone once.In the win over the Panthers, he added another 33 yards receiving.
His 185 scrimmage yards as well as his 152 rushing yards are the most of any rookie this season.
Of those rushing yards, 97 came in the fourth quarter after leaving briefly with a hip pointer in the third quarter.
3. Trey McBride, TE, Cardinals/Colorado State
The former Rams tight end is enjoying a breakout season in 2024.McBride led Arizona with 96 receiving yards on 12 receptions. He also had 12 receptions in week 12, making him the first TE in NFL history with at least 12 receptions in consecutive games.
Additionally, he has joined Travis Kelce as the only two TEs in NFL history with at least five receptions in 10 consecutive road games.
4. Leonard Williams, DT, Seahawks/USC
In his 159th career game, Big Cat scored his first career touchdown on his second career interception.
The former Trojan returned an Aaron Rodgers pick 92 yards for the score.
He added five tackles with three for loss—two of them sacks in the Seahawks win in New York.
5. Caleb Williams, QB, Bears/USC
Williams and the Bears were denied the Thanksgiving upset of Detroit in large part to the game mismanagement of now former head coach Matt Eberflus.
The former Trojan threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
He did not throw an interception, and he now has 232 consecutive pass attempts without a pick, the longest streak of pass attempts without an INT by a rookie in NFL history.
6. Bobby Okereke, LB, Giants/Stanford
The former Stanford star had a strong showing in New York’s Thanksgiving Day loss to Dallas.
He led the Giants with nine total tackles, two tackles for loss, and a pass defended.
7. Eric Kendricks, LB, Cowboys/UCLA
The former Bruin was once again the leading tackler for Dallas as they knocked off New York 27-20 on Turkey Day.
He ended the day with 10 tackles and forced a fumble.
8. Bobby Wagner, LB, Commanders/Utah State
Wagner led Washington with five tackles in their 42-19 win over Tennessee.
The former Aggie also got credited with a QB hit in the win but also made some history as he now has 104 tackles on the season.
He has topped 100 tackles in 13 consecutive seasons, only the second player to accomplish that since 2000.
9. Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers/Oregon
Herbert did not throw a TD in the Chargers’ win, but he was efficient and turnover-free.The former Duck is just the third player in NFL history without an interception in 10 consecutive games (minimum 15 pass attempts in each game) within a single season.
He also is only the second player in NFL history with at least 2,500 passing yards and one or fewer interceptions in his first 12 games of a season.
10. Keenan Allen, WR, Bears/Cal
Allen caught five passes for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Chicago’s three-point loss to Detroit.
The former Golden Bear is starting to find his groove with the NFL Bears as he has three TDs in the last two games and has been targeted 23 times in those contests.
