After all, the program just lost their head coach and had to piece together a roster of players wanting to play one more game of the 2024 season. It ended up being a 17-point loss to No. 21 Syracuse. So how would the Cougars deal with the same sequence for the second time in almost 365 days?
Just fine it turns out. The senior leadership banded together to send the program out on the right note and with over 600 yards of total offense and plenty of defensive highlights, Wazzu capped a winning record with a 34-21 victory over future Pac-12 opponent Utah State in the latest rendition of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Monday afternoon on the famous Blue Turf in Boise.
