Report: Utah hoops closing in on Sac State's Loren Leath for open asst job

By Steve Bartle, UteZone: According to sources around the program, University of Utah head men’s basketball coach Craig Smith is closing in on Sacramento State assistant coach Loren Leath for one of the two open assistant coaching jobs. The news was first reported by Andrew Crowley (@runninhoops) and is believed to become official potentially as soon as tomorrow.

Leath is a promising up-and-comer, as he started his coaching career with Sacramento State just two years ago and has been named to Silver Waves Media Rising Stars for Men’s Mid Major Assistant Coaches list each of the past two seasons.
