This is the fourth in my series of interviews with 2023 SuperWest nonconference football opponents.
In this episode, I talk with Paul Loeffler, the play-by-play announcer for Fresno State, more commonly known as “The Voice of the Bulldogs.”
We talk about the state of the Fresno State Football program and the unique culture of the Valley.
We also discuss the Bulldogs’ roster heading into the 2023 season and touch on the topic of conference realignment and what it might eventually mean for FSU.
Loeffler gives us his sense of Fresno State’s night game against Arizona State on September 16 at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, and we make our initial predictions.
Arizona State leads the all-time series with the Bulldogs 3-1, but Fresno State won the most recent matchup, defeating the Sun Devils 31-20 in the 2018 Las Vegas Bowl.
