By Brandon Marcello, 247Sports: The SEC adopted new protocols and penalties at its spring meetings to deter fans from rushing the field and court following big wins starting this fall, including fines that would reward teams money from the offending program.
Offending teams will pay the opposing institution as much as $500,000 if their fans rush the competition area, according to the SEC’s new guidelines adopted Thursday at its annual spring meetings.
