By Isaac Trotter, 247Sports: The NCAA Tournament selection committee sending No. 1 Kansas out to the West Region instead of the Midwest Region was one of the biggest surprises on Selection Sunday. Even Kansas was stunned it would not get to play in Kansas City for the right to go to the Final Four.
“I was just shocked we didn’t get the second overall seed,” Kansas forward KJ Adams said. “But that happens sometimes. I’m just excited that we get to play again. [We] had a tough loss last night, but now it’s getting ready to bounce back and have a good game wherever we play … we’re just going to do what we have to do to get to where we need to be.”
