By Dean Straka, 247Sports: Normal NCAA recruiting activities can officially resume as of June 1, it was an announced on Thursday. An expected move, as reported by CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd earlier in the month, reports surfaced on Thursday that the NCAA Division I Council had approved the measure before the official announcement was made on Thursday.
“We are delighted to announce that as of June 1, all sports will return to their normal recruiting calendars,” said Council chair M. Grace Calhoun, athletics director at Pennsylvania, said in a statement. “We want to thank all prospective student-athletes, their families, coaches and current student-athletes for their patience as we determined the best way to move forward safely with recruiting in Division I.”
