San Diego State has stated its intention to leave the Mountain West, and they’re a top target for the Pac-12 in expansion as they negotiate their media rights deal.

The Mountain West Conference is playing hardball with SDSU, denying their request for an extension on a timeline “at this time,” which could force the issue for the Pac-12.
