McLaughlin: Concerns about Pac-12 Streaming Overblown?

Spencer examines more Pac-12 media rights speculation, which is all everyone has to go off

It’s widely expected that the Pac-12 will have a streaming partner involved in their next media rights deal.

If the league were to, as one media pundit recently predicted, be up to 50% streaming or more, that wouldn’t be as disastrous as some people would think—depending on who the streaming partner turns out to be.

On today’s episode of Locked On Pac-12, I examine more media rights speculation, which is all the Pac-12 is giving everyone to go off of at this point.

A long-term (or short-term?) expansion option that’s outside the box could be Memphis from the American Conference.

They check some, but not all, of the Pac-12 boxes for expansion.

Stanford has become known for people questioning whether or not their highest profile sports, football, and men’s basketball, are a priority for the administration.

Funding for a school like Stanford is certainly not the issue that has led to the Cardinal’s struggles.
