Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark has indicated in the past that he would like to add several Pac-12 schools to expand his league’s geographical reach.

Recent meetings amongst Big 12 Presidents and Yormark had a noticeably small amount of discussion with regard to the Pac-12 schools in which they’re interested.

If the worst were to come to pass for the Pac-12, could the Big 12 actually make a move and get the logistics to work out in time for 2024?

Meanwhile, the Pac-12’s top two expansion targets should be, and appear to be, San Diego State and SMU.

San Diego State seems to have a deadline to add them by (June 30th) but the same might not hold true for SMU.
