By David Veenstra, Arizona Sports: Tommy Lloyd took the opportunity to address his decision to coincidentally wear UNC colors while traveling to Indianapolis ahead of Arizona’s Final Four game.

The Arizona men’s basketball coach sparked online speculation Wednesday when he wore a North Carolina blue T-shirt beneath a gray quarter-zip on the team’s flight, fueling Tar Heel fans’ theories as he continues to be linked to UNC’s open head coaching job.

During the pregame press conference on Thursday, Lloyd was subtly asked about the team wearing retro 1997 uniforms all year (since Arizona won its first and only national championship in 1997 in Indianapolis), and Lloyd took the question in a different direction to clear up any wardrobe misunderstandings.
