By Steve Samra, On3 Sports: FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt had high praise for UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava and interim play-caller Jerry Neuheisel following the Bruins’ stunning upset over Penn State. The win not only revitalized UCLA’s season, but it also gave college football fans a glimpse of the program’s potential future.
“Their quarterback played great. Nico Iamaleava looked like a five-star player. That’s what he looked like. He looked like a guy that could put the team on his back and go out there and win the football game,” Klatt stated, via The Joel Klatt Show.
“I mean, everybody except for one fan base in America has got to be at least mildly, like, happy for the guy. I know that Tennessee fans aren’t going to be happy for him, and that’s fine. I totally understand that. I get it. But what a story.”
