Former Colorado football head coach Mike MacIntyre has been hired as a defensive assistant by the Mississippi State Bulldogs, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
MacIntyre was most recently the head coach of the FIU Panthers, where he led them to three straight 4-8 seasons before being fired in December.
FIU was MacIntyre’s third head coaching stop. He previously led the San Jose State Spartans from 2010-12 and the Buffs from 2013-18.
