By Lorenzo J. Reyna, Athlon Sports via Yahoo Sports: The USC Trojans 2026 recruiting class lost prized five-star Xavier Griffin during the week of May 12. Colorado and Deion Sanders are now in pursuit — with a chance to land another past Trojans commit.
Griffin decommitted from the Trojans Wednesday, in a move that sent shockwaves across the recruiting landscape. The Carrollton, Ga., defender was one of USC’s first ’26 commits during July 2024.
The Buffaloes, spearheaded by “Coach Prime,” are the first school to offer the linebacker since his decommitment.
