By Jackson Moore, Bear Territory: The NCAA’s recruiting dead period is reportedly set to end as of June 1, and the California Golden Bears have been busy lining up official visits as soon as June. So far, nine recruits from the 2022 class have publicly announced their official visits to Cal while multiple other prospects have reported to 247Sports that they intend to visit as well.
Since March of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, recruits and coaches have been unable to have in-person contact. The dead period is in place until at least May 31 and is expected to come to a close at the start of June. Recruits would be able to start taking their five allotted official visits in June.
