By Zach McKinnell, Athlon Sports: Boise State fired head coach Andy Avalos on Sunday after three seasons with the Broncos. Avalos was 22-14 as the head coach, including a 10-4 record last season with a win in the Frisco Bowl over North Texas.
Multiple college football personalities have suggested Boise State hire a former SEC head coach, who also served as the head coach at Boise State for seven seasons.
