By Steve Lassan, Athlon Sports: The 2025 college football season doesn’t start until Week Zero on Aug. 23, but it’s never too early to look ahead and project the top-25 rankings for next season.
Ohio State takes the top spot in our Way-Too-Early Top 25 for ’25, but it’s a small gap between the Buckeyes and the rest of the field.
Texas, Georgia, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Oregon headline the next tier of contenders, with all five teams positioned to return to the College Football Playoff next year.
