By Big 12 Conference: ASU’s Cam Skattebo (offensive), Texas Tech’s Jacob Rodriguez (defensive), the Baylor duo of Bryson Washington (co-newcomer) and Isaiah Hankins (co-special teams) as well as the Houston tandem of Zeon Chriss (co-newcomer) and Liam Dougherty (co-special teams) were selected as the Big 12’s football award winners for Week 10.
Skattebo earned his fourth weekly award of the season after accounting for 274 all-purpose yards in ASU’s win at Oklahoma State, which were the most by an FBS running back in Week 10. The senior ran for 153 yards on 23 carries and a score while catching four passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Skattebo is just the sixth player in Big 12 history to rush for 150 yards and tally 100 yards receiving in the same game. He also is the first Sun Devil with 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game since Demario Richard in 2015.
Rodriguez tallied 13 tackles, including two-and-a-half for a loss, a pair of sacks and a forced fumble in Texas Tech’s win at then-No.11/10 Iowa State. The linebacker matched his career high for tackles, while also setting career marks for sacks and tackles for loss in the Red Raiders’ first road win over a team ranked in the top 10 of either poll since 2011. Rodriguez now leads the Conference with 84 total tackles, which ranks tied for eighth nationally.
