By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Arizona State intends to build a new football practice facility expected to cost approximately $35 million and renovate Desert Financial Arena at an estimated cost of $100 million, with construction work on each project planned to begin in January 2027, according to September filings with Arizona’s Board of Regents.
The football practice facility, listed as ASU’s top priority in the university’s 2027-30 Capital Improvement Plan, will be adjacent to the north end of Mountain America Stadium, with an existing parking lot converted to a turf field to replace the Verde Dickie Dome bubble structure east of Rural Road.
