By Kavish Siddhartha, Arizona Sports: After taking the Big 12 by storm in his first year as Arizona State won the Big 12 title and earned a College Football Playoff berth, Sam Leavitt is eager for a larger role within the offense heading into the new season.
Leavitt’s efforts last year didn’t go unnoticed. He won the 2024 Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year and was recently named Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
He posted an efficient year under center in 2024, throwing for 2,885 yards, 24 touchdowns and only six interceptions.
