CougFan: Washington State’s Noah Williams on Monday was named Player of the Week by both the NCAA and Pac-12 conference. The sophomore averaged 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game in a three-game week — including 36 ppg points in WSU’s first sweep of the Bay Area schools since 2011-12.
Williams set back-to-back career highs with 32 points in the win over Cal, and 40 points in the 3-OT win against Stanford. Adding to the degree of difficulty, in both games WSU’s leading scorer Isaac Bonton was on the bench with injured ankles.
