WSU interim AD Jon Haarlow expresses frustration over 2026 Pac-12 schedule

By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Jon Haarlow isn’t thrilled with how the 2026 Pac-12 football schedule unfolded for Washington State, and he wasn’t shy about expressing such to the league, he told Cougfan.com on Saturday. The reason for his ire matched that of Cougar fans who made no secret of their displeasure when the slate came out last month:

  • Yet another home game right after Thanksgiving, when all the students are home for the holiday, and Pullman — being the smallest metro market in the league — faces the most daunting task of drawing fans on that weekend.
  • Nine-straight weeks without a bye.
  • The Oct. 24 game against what figures to be a stout Boise State team is, notably, in Pullman, but the Broncos will be well rested coming in off a bye.
