By Jamey Vinnick, CougFan: Washington State will be donning a new look on its helmets Friday when the Cougars host San Jose State in a 7 p.m. kickoff with television coverage on The CW Network. The Cougs will be sporting their standard crimson helmets but the Cougar-head decal will be replaced by “WAZZU” in block, white letters.
The Cougars wore a crimson helmet with a scripted “Wazzu” in lower-case letters against Utah in 2022.
