By CougFanCom: Washington State on Friday released its plan to balance the Athletics budget by 2023, with the school aiming to build its financial reserves and eventually retire long-term debt of more than $100 million. Washington State also restated its commitment to remain in the Pac-12 conference.
The budget plan calls for $35.6 million in external financing to be issued as general university bonds to help cover revenue losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The bonds would be repaid with future Pac-12 media and bowl revenue distributions.
