By B.J. Rains, Bronco Nation News: Boise State’s 18th win of the season on Tuesday night at Air Force triggered a one-year, $1.15 million extension for head coach Leon Rice, who is now under contract with the Broncos through the 2028 season.
According to the terms of his five-year contract signed last July, Rice gets an additional year tacked on the end of the deal at a raise of $50,000 from the previous year should the Broncos win 18 games in a season. The 18-game clause can be used three times.
